AI UPDATE!!!!!!! (0.3)


The AI update has been finished!

Major features:

-AI! It knows how to defend, how to counterattack, how to use both riflemen and shield units, when to retreat, and some other things. This means that you may now have to (occasionally) use your brain in this strategy game!

-The two levels have been completely rebuilt with the new AI system, making them (in my opinion) infinitely more fun to play!

-Sounds! At some point in the development process I got tired of working on the AI and added some sounds. Free sound effects from https://www.fesliyanstudios.com, edited by me in Audacity.

Minor changes/bugfixes:

-Significantly increased machine gun damage and range to make it more useful.

-Increased distance from frontline at which riflemen will stop to reduce collisions.

-Fixed bug where enemy riflemen would get stuck inside each other.

-Fixed bug where a placeholder string of random characters was displayed at the bottom of the level select screen.

Future plans:

In the long run, I want to make a procedural level generator, because making levels is for me the most boring and tedious part of the development of the game, but before that I want to improve the graphics, ui, and general game feel, both because that is faster and easier and because I want the immeasurable amount of playtesting I will have to do to be less painful.
